NECEC Innovation

Our Innovation team runs the Northeast branch of the largest cleantech accelerator in North America, Cleantech Open, as well as a vital networking pipeline connecting later-stage ventures to partners and capital, called Navigate.

Cleantech Open Northeast

Cleantech Open Northeast has trained 601 early-stage cleantech startups through its annual business accelerator. The program runs once a year for about six months, with the core programming during the summer months. Cleantech Open is like a mini MBA – teaching entrepreneurship skills to propel startups on the path to commercialization as quickly and effectively as possible.
Cleantech Open Northeast/NECEC is looking for five (5) startups to join our Direct Air Capture (DAC) Academy this fall! DAC is crucial as it involves removing carbon dioxide directly from the atmosphere, thereby addressing climate change by reducing greenhouse gas levels.  Apply to the 2024 program by August 2 to gain access to a unique business development program, that includes expert mentors, DAC industry opportunities, and industry connections to help launch your venture. In addition to these, each participating team will receive $10,000. To learn more and apply:
