World Climate Limited and NECEC Announce Horizon19 Global Clean Economy Summit

MassCEC-sponsored Summit on Climate Change Solutions to be Held in Boston September 18-20, 2019

World Climate Limited and the Northeast Clean Energy Council (NECEC) today announced Horizon19, the second annual international summit to advance the global clean economy, sponsored by the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC). The summit will return to Boston for the second year at the Boston Exhibition & Convention Center on September 18-20, 2019.

“Massachusetts is home to a nation-leading business innovation community, world-class academic intuitions, and a thriving clean energy sector that all help support Massachusetts’ position as a national leader on climate action,” said Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker. “We welcome the Horizon19 Conference back to Massachusetts and look forward to the ideas and information that will be exchanged among all attendees.”

The two-day Horizon19 Summit will leverage the valuable business leadership and innovation expertise of leading energy business organizations in the Northeastern United States with the international experience of World Climate Ltd., which has worked within stakeholder engagement, large-scale collaborations, and developing the business of climate change for almost a decade.

Horizon19, located at the Boston Exhibition & Convention Center, will feature an international conference with keynotes, plenaries, and discussions; a showcase of innovative solutions and initiatives in a large networking area; unique business matchmaking platform, both online and on-site for organized private meetings; co-located side events providing interactive workshops, master classes, and solutions; and create linkages to other initiatives and agendas, such as We Are Still In, the Paris Agreement and the Global Climate Action.

"Massachusetts is home to a cutting edge clean energy industry and is a global destination for innovation, making the Commonwealth the ideal location to explore next-generation ideas and opportunities in the clean economy,” said MassCEC CEO Stephen Pike. “MassCEC is pleased to support Horizon19 and looks forward to bringing together leaders and innovators from around the globe as we pursue meaningful action on climate change."

“NECEC is thrilled to welcome clean energy leaders, customers, and innovators from across the globe back to Boston for Horizon19,” said NECEC President Peter Rothstein. “We look forward to building on the immense success of last year's conference as the industry comes together to share best practices and establish partnerships that accelerate climate solutions and the transition to a clean economy."

“World Climate Ltd is delighted to announce the return of Horizon19 as a global platform for clean innovations, investments, solutions, and partnerships,” said World Climate Ltd. CEO Jens Nielsen. “We are striving to create a unique opportunity to bring together customers, solution providers, and investors – and there’s nowhere better than Boston to connect clean innovations, projects, and initiatives from around the globe.”
