Magdalena Wilk hired as new Director of NECEC Navigate

Somerville, Mass. - The Northeast Clean Energy Council (NECEC) is proud to announce the hiring of Magdalena Wilk as the new Director of NECEC Navigate, our signature innovation program that provides cleantech startups access to resources and business support to help them grow and scale. Wilk will guide the Navigate program forward into a growing climate economy in which emerging companies will be looking to scale rapidly to meet the increased demand for clean energy and climate tech solutions.

Wilk is an experienced manager in business and product development, with a demonstrated history of achieving goals in the financial and information technology industries. She previously served as the Head of Sales for the Polish software firm Asseco Data Systems and the Head of Business Development for Pekao Leasing, also based in Poland. At Pekao Leasing her duties included partnership development, product development and sales channel development.

"I am excited to join the NECEC team as the Navigate Director, on the quest to eliminate our planet's climate problems,” Wilk said. “I deeply care about our environment and I love working with people. This position will allow me to couple both of those passions. In Navigate, we collaborate to connect Investors seeking opportunities in the clean energy industry with young firms with new ideas. We are a world-class clean energy hub, which accelerates the commercialization of innovative cleantech and climate tech solutions on the challenging journey to net zero emissions."

Wilk has started in her new role as of Monday, May 8. She is already preparing for Navigate’s signature Investor Corporate Customer Connect event on June 8 in New York City, where dozens of emerging companies will meet with investors.

Time is running out on the health of our climate and we need to deploy innovative solutions that reduce CO2 emissions as fast as we can.”

Wilk holds a Master of Arts in Finance and Banking from the Warsaw School of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Capital Markets from the College of Economics in Warsaw.
