NEWIEE Women in Energy and the Environment Shaping the Agenda

Boston, MA (June 1, 2015) New England Women In Energy and the Environment (NEWIEE) is pleased to announce the First Annual “Women in Energy and the Environment Shaping the Agenda” Panel Series on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 from 5:30-8:30pm at MIT Sloan School of Management, 100 Main Street, Building E62, Cambridge, Massachusetts, First Floor, Executive Education Suite. This year’s panel will be recognizing the accomplishments of the public sector.

"We are excited to feature the top leaders across New England in this new panel series,” said Judy Chang, Principal of The Brattle Group and President of NEWIEE. “This series is designed to showcase how leaders are shaping the most critical energy and environmental agenda for the region. We expect to see both experienced and young professionals from across the states come together to discuss and debate the key issues facing our industry today.”

The Panel Moderator will be Martha Broad, Executive Director, MIT Energy Initiative. She will be joined by the following panelists: 

  • Meredith Hatfield, Director, New Hampshire Office of Energy and Planning 
  • Melissa Hoffer, Chief, Energy and Environment Bureau, Office of the Attorney General of Massachusetts 
  • Judith Judson, Commissioner, Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources 
  • Jessie Stratton, Director of Policy, Connecticut Department of Energy and Environment Protection

The night will begin with drinks and hors d’oeuvres at a networking reception from 5:30-6:30pm. A panel discussion will begin at 6:30 and will be followed by dessert and more networking until 8:30pm.
