NECA: 2016 ENVIRONMENTAL CONFERENCE

This summer’s annual environmental conference will offer insight as to how the impending presidential election may influence the future direction of national environmental policy including the Clean Power Plan. The conference will feature additional panel discussions regarding how to address public health issues in power project permitting, and views from the trenches such as issues in transactional due diligence, and a regulatory round table addressing current and future environmental compliance challenges to the energy industry.

Panel I: Clean Power Plan – What Might Happen in Light of the Election Confused about the status of the Clean Power Plan? Our panelists will summarize the current status and discuss the challenges faced with implementation in light of court appeals, pending power plant retirements, and a change in presidential administrations.

Panel II: Transactional Due Diligence Selling or buying a property? Our panelists will discuss lessons learned during the process.

Panel III: Addressing Public Health Issues for Power Project Permitting This panel will discuss typical public health issues encountered during power project permitting and approaches used in addressing them.

Panel IV: Regulatory Roundtable Hear the latest regarding development and implementation of new environmental regulations.
