Climate Change Resiliency Forum Postponed Until Further Notice

BOSTON—State Senator Marc R. Pacheco (D-Taunton), President Pro Tempore and Chair of the Senate Committee on Global Warming and Climate Change, has announced the climate change resiliency forum for policymakers planned for Tuesday, Feb. 10 has been postponed until further notice due to inclement weather.

“The unprecedented precipitation we have been experiencing in the Commonwealth over the past several weeks is further evidence of our need to prepare for the threats of extreme weather caused by climate change,” Pacheco said. “I hope these repeated, severe storms serve as a platform for some important conversations around bolstering our natural and built infrastructure against climate change once a new date has been set for this discussion.”

The forum, which aims to engage policymakers, environmental stakeholders and higher education leaders in conversation about the challenges of climate change, will be rescheduled for a date to be announced in the near future.
