Fraunhofer Techbridge, Massachusetts Clean Energy Center and New England Clean Energy Council “Innovation Acceleration Partnership" Selected for US Department of Energy Ecosystem Energy

The Fraunhofer Center for Sustainable Energy Systems (CSE) today announced a $1 million award from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to fund a joint clean technology commercialization program.

NECEC Applauds House for Passing Clean Energy Consortium Pilot Program

The New England Clean Energy Council (the Council) joins Reps. Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.) and Lois Capps (D-Calif.) in applauding the U.S. House of Representatives for passage of a new, pilot program to spur regional energy innovation.

NECEC Federal Policy Recommendations on Home Star Energy Efficiency Initiative

Home Star is new legislation that proposes the creation of jobs in existing industries by providing strong short-term investments for energy efficiency improvements in residential buildings.  This initiative establishes a $6 billion rebate program to encourage immediate investment in energy efficient appliances, building mechanical systems and insulation, and whole-home energy efficient retrofits.

NECEC Federal Policy Recommendations on Clean Energy Deployment Administration

NECEC literature recommending the formation of a Clean Energy Deployment Administration that oversees direct support for clean energy deployments through issuance and management of direct loans, letters of credit, loan guarantees and other debt instruments as well as indirect support for such deployments through the development of financial products and arrangements to support private sector lending to, and equity investment in, widespread deployment of clean energy technologies.
