NECEC Executive Vice President Janet Gail Besser to Speak at Leadership Conference for Women in Energy

Janet Gail Besser, Executive Vice President of NECEC, the premier voice of businesses building a world-class clean energy hub in the Northeast, will speak at the EUCI Leadership Conference for Women in Energy on November 2, 2016 in Boston. 

The conference aims to help women professionals advance their careers in the traditionally male dominated energy industry through insights into energy trends and skills for personal and professional development. Besser joins a distinguished panel of women leaders in energy including Susan Balance of Pike Corporation, Laurie Dunham of Duke American Transmission Company, Jessica Brahaney Cain of Eversource, Kim Hanemann of Public Service Electric & Gas, Keely Hughes of MISO, Dionne McGee of Sensus, and Tracey LeBeau of the Department of Energy, among others representing all aspects of the energy industry.

Besser leads NECEC's Policy, Government Affairs and Membership strategy and activities. Prior to joining the organization, she served as Vice President of Regulatory Strategy and Policy at National Grid, and previously was Chair of the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities. Her extensive experience in the energy industry and wealth of clean energy policy knowledge will undoubtedly prove invaluable to conference attendees.
