NECEC Executive Vice President Janet Gail Besser to Moderate Panel at Solar Power Northeast

NECEC’s Executive Vice President Janet Gail Besser, will bring her expertise in solar policy and regulatory developments in the Northeast to Solar Power Northeast next week as moderator of the February 5 panel, “Hot Topics in Emerging Markets across Maine, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.

Besser will explore how recent policy developments and new market opportunities in these three states are helping grow the clean energy economy of the region. Besser will be joined on her panel by the following experts:

Solar Power Northeast, formerly known as PV America, is hosted by Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA). The two day conference aims to advance the PV solar market and strengthen the solar industry in the region and across the globe. Nearly 80 exhibitors and 1,500 attendees are expected to attend. The 2018 conference kicks off with a keynote presentation entitled “From Tariffs to Tax Reform: Strategies for Solar Growth in America.”

Besser leads NECEC's Policy, Government Affairs and Membership strategy and activities. Prior to joining the organization, she served as Vice President of Regulatory Strategy and Policy at National Grid and previously was Chair of the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities. Besser is a nationally recognized expert on a wide range of energy policy issues with deep relationships across the industry.
