The Council works to create greater awareness of clean energy technologies, clean energy companies, and the clear opportunity the sector represents as an engine for accelerating the region’s economic growth.
We also seek to ensure that the workforce needs of the region are properly addressed. Our Workforce Development Group is working to survey area companies and organizations to gain a better understanding of the region’s future clean energy workforce needs. It will then work with the State and other NGOs to ensure that curricula are being developed at area schools to train workers for the green collar jobs to come.
The Workforce Development Group is led by Co-Chairs Wanda Reindorf of Conservation Services Group and Kevin Doyle of Green Economy.
